Hello,

It's a long time ago since the last interviews at SimHQ (October-30-2008) and Cleared-To-Engage (October-30-2010), so I talked to members of different virtual squadrons and arranged 10 new questions for you:

Casio: We are very impressed about your project and want to thank you for sharing a lot of information and video footage in the past. Unfortunately there are no official updates on your website since July-3-2011 and it seems that the development progress has frozen as well. What is the reason for that?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: How many people are actually involved in the development team and are you still looking for new programmers, 3D modelers or others who can help you out?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: There's a little lack of clarity about the release of the final product. When it's finished will it be free or payware and which game platforms (PC, Mac, Xbox, Play Station, Wii, ...) do you want to support?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: When would you like to start with the beta phase and how will the community be involved? What about a professional game publisher?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: What is the maximum meter/pixel resolution of your terrain engine and how do you add buildings, bridges, roads and other objects?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: The identification of friend or foe (IFF system) is not well implemented in current combat flight simulations. In real life there are many reasons for friendly aircraft not to reply to IFF, such as battle damage or equipment failure, loss of encryption keys, and wrong encryption keys. What are your plans regarding this system?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: What is the current state of the mission editor? How much work would it be to create a multiplayer mission with multiple aircraft, ground and naval units? Will the planner be able to choose from preset battalions or do he has to place each unit (and necessary waypoints) on its own?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: A challenging AI is a major feature of a combat flight simulator, but in the end a good ATC and the radio coms between AI aircraft and ground units will generate the real atmosphere. Please tell us more about what will be part of the final product.

Seven-G: ---

Casio: Virtual pilots of Jane’s F/A-18 are hungry to have a next generation simulator. Currently, other groups like DCS and the Falcon BMS team are also working on a flyable F/A-18 model. There are also rumors that LEAD PURSUIT is still developing a new Hornet sim. Are you concerned about that?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: What kind of weather effects do we have to expect?

Seven-G: ---

Casio: Thank you for taking the time to give us an update. We appreciate your time and the whole community is looking forward to the final product.

Seven-G: ---
