Hi! Smile

Will it be a recording feature like in Lock On?
One of things I think it would be very very interesting, would be that the simulator would have the capability to record the track, ourselves being the pilot, of course, and then, when replaying the track, being able to add a new plane and then again flying this new plane, so that we could then form or follow the first one. It would be flying with ourselves in formation. If we could always add a new plane, recording the each new flight, we could create some interesting air displays of one man show!! Very Happy It would be one man flying all the planes ! Very Happy Like adding new recording layers!

What do you guys think about this? Do you think it would be possible?
I don't know of other simulators that can do a such thing. Are there? scratch

Cheers cheers

well, that sounds like a good idea, however IMHO there are lots of more important stuff to be implemented.

But, considering recording, are you planning to create a "carrier" camera (you know, the one with the reticle) so that we could see how our landing went?

ACMI is on planning , and instant replay after carrier landing (to see your landing) is also likely Smile
Any one knows where that camera(reticle for LSO?)located ?

Good idea Harpoon, I think it's a necessary view if the 7g's aim is to make a learning soft to fly f18.
In fact when you are on the glide with a good speed, you know that your landing will be correct.

By the way, what is your direction Cmatt?
Creating a learning soft with all the difficulties to penetrate a carrier area (comms, weather, life on board,...) with a f18 or
creating a fighting soft where it's important to learn its own jet to survive and land after a bandit day?

In the first case, I think it could be interesting to have a double pit (f18D/F) to fly the ship behind the "newbe" pilot...

That's amazing, it seems Christmas time. We make a wish list and Santa Claus will bring us an F18 Very Happy

This is french system Tv/Ir DALAS. It gives to the LSO all the approach comportments. The camera is located on the right background carrier and pointing on the first gear leg of the plane to follow automaticaly the descent and speed. A system of mirrors seems to be in opposit to the plane but that's not real...
Dalas commanding meatball too.
